I wrote this song is about my first date with my wife. You know you are on a good date when you decide to go to a second location. We were having a lovely dinner and conversation and I suggested we go to this great bar in South Williamsburg called Rye. I want to show off. I knew the bartender there and he made truly marvelous, classy cocktails.

This song actually world premiered in Budapest at Lindy Shock with an arrangement I wrote for Gordon Webster's band. We've been playing regularly for dancers and it seems to be hit with dancers quickly learning the syncopated break on bar 2!
